Due to the significant increase in COVID-19 cases in Ashtabula County, ACMC is once again restricting visitors to the Emergency Department. Pediatric patients will be able to have one adult accompany them. The adult who accompanies a pediatric patient cannot 'swap out' for another adult. Compassionate exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis for adult patients. Thank you for your understanding, support and cooperation. Submit a Note ACMC and Coronavirus Preparedness Please click the link below for the latest information from ACMC about coronavirus (COVID-19). All patients and visitors to ACMC must wear a face mask. In accordance with recommendations from the Ohio Department of Health and Cleveland Clinic, ACMC will have limited entrance points into the hospital for the foreseeable future. The Ashtabula Clinic entrance will be open 5:30 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday only. The Emergency Department entrance will be open 24/7. All patients and visitors must wear a mask and will participate in a limited screening at the entrances to check for fever, cough, and travel history. To schedule an appointment, call 440-997-6969. ACMC Express Care is also available via telehealth from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Call 440-994-7550 for more information. Higher call volumes Please be aware that we are experiencing higher call volumes at our provider offices. You may experience longer times on hold. We may also be delayed in responding to messages left on voice mail. ACMC Healthcare System thanks you in advance for your patience. COVID-19 Testing at ACMC COVID-19 testing (commonly known as the PCR swab test) is available at ACMC. To receive the COVID-19 swab test, the individual must have an order from a provider on the ACMC Medical Staff. We cannot offer the test to patients without an order or to patients with an order from a provider who is not on ACMC’s Medical Staff. Prior to your provider placing an order for the COVID-19 swab test, your provider may ask questions about your symptoms and/or possible exposure to a confirmed case of COVID-19. Your provider will determine the need for the COVID-19 test based on the answers to those questions. The majority of ACMC providers are able to see patients by telehealth visits. To ensure the highest level of safety precautions for individuals receiving the test, other patients, and our caregivers, ACMC is offering drive-through COVID-19 testing. Individuals will remain in their car throughout the testing process. The COVID-19 testing tent is located across the street from the hospital, behind the ACMC Rehabilitation Services building. Enter the testing area from Carso Avenue, between West 25th and West 26th streets. ACMC COVID-19 testing tent hours of operation: • Sunday to Saturday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Everyone who receives the COVID-19 swab test will be advised to self-quarantine at home, and to limit interaction with others in your household, until test results are received. Additional information may also be provided at the testing site. Results of the COVID-19 test are generally available in 24-48 hours and will be sent to your primary care provider. A member of ACMC’s COVID-19 team will contact you directly if your test result is positive for the virus.
